Discover one of the wonders of the ancient Arab kingdoms.
AlUla is a region of outstanding natural and historical importance in northwestern Saudi Arabia. Work is underway to transform AlUla into one of the world’s leading destinations for nature, culture and heritage.
In the deserts of Saudi Arabia, the picturesque oasis of AlUla has nurtured and sustained human occupation for thousands of years. Thanks to the wealth generated by the incense trade and agriculture, powerful ancient kingdoms grew and flourished in the valley: trade, arts, languages, and ideas declined and long flowed among palm trees. Now, we are beginning to discover what this film scene can teach us about the peoples of the past who considered AlUla their home.
In a remote corner of northwestern Arabia, the desert sands contain ancient treasures waiting to be discovered. Among these monuments, tombs and fascinating cities, there are countless amazing adventures to experience.
For more than a millennium, the oasis of Dadan, the capital of the kingdoms of Dadan and Lihyan, and its successor, the nearby Nabataean city of Hajar, have been key hubs for an extensive trade network that spanned across continents.
