China and Saudi Arabia announced the signing of an agreement through which the Kingdom will become a major tourist destination for Chinese tourists, under which Chinese citizens will be allowed to travel to the Kingdom through tourist groups. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism by the Kingdom’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al-Harbi, and on behalf of China, Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism Du Jiang.
On this occasion, the Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khatib explained that this agreement comes as a result of the vision and efforts of the two countries in the past period, and the volume of joint efforts in the fields of travel and tourism, in addition to the efforts made by the Kingdom to raise readiness to receive tourists from China. This important agreement is expected to attract tourists from China, reaching 3 million Chinese tourists annually by 2030.
